The 11 th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Maryland intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole source basis to Adam and Dorothy Miller Lifesafety Education Center DBA Miller Safety Center and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the work. The contractor must be able to ensure preventive and repair maintenance tasks while utilizing equipment history, operating hours, and Operations and Equipment Maintenance (OEM) requirements to maintain all covered equipment in operating condition, consistent with the manufacturers' service recommendation . A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334614 with a size standard of 750 employees. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose if determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in preparation of any capabilities statements or documents prepared for this notice. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
