Electronic Bus Ticketing System

Sources Sought Notice - CONTRACTOR currently sells paper bus tickets from outdated machine dispensers or from Imprest Holders to passengers using the bus system. The bus system is operated by motor coach operators who are responsible for the collection of CONTRACTOR-generated tickets from each passenger boarding the motor coaches. A ticket is required for each one-way trip to or from the National Nevada Security Site (NNSS); cash fares are not permitted. All tickets are destroyed upon receipt by the motor coach operators. CONTRACTOR seeks SUBCONTRACTOR to provide an electronic web-based bus ticketing system to replace existing paper bus ticket dispenser system and Imprest Holders for the 14 motor coaches utilized by the CONTRACTOR, through the use of electronic devices. The system must be capable of handling credit card transactions, providing information on bus routes, passenger ticket balances, and tracking/reporting ridership. System maintenance and technical support will be required. Period of performance 5 years.
