Presolicitation Synopsis KC 135/E3A Rudder Test Consoles 309th Maintenance Wing Commodities Maintenance Group (CMXG) NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: This is a pre-solicitation synopsis in accordance with FAR 5.201. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. This synopsis is prepared in accordance with guidance found in FAR 5.207, and is prepared for the purpose of notifying potential offerors of an upcoming solicitation for two KC 135/E3A Rudder Test Consoles. The solicitation for this requirement will be posted under reference number FA8224-17-R-0049. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps on a regular basis for the solicitation along with any amendments. The Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC), Specialized Contracting Office (PZIMB), intends to negotiate with Parker Hannifin-Corporation (Packer Aerospace), on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source to provide two (2) KC-135/E3A Rudder Power Control Unit Test Consoles with associated strain gauge and patch plug. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, adapters, tools, supplies, labor, and management necessary for the entire design, delivery, installation, and training capable of meeting TO 9H2-4-246-3 and 9H2-4-242-3. Delivery is approximately 58 weeks after date of award as confirmed by Parker Hannifin. All specs shall be in accordance to attached purchase description. The solicitation will be posted under the same number FA8224-17-R-0049 on FedBizOps during the month of April 4, 2017 thru May 4, 2017.
