Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Contract: The U.S. Air Force, Material Command intends to negotiate and issue a sole source award to obtain four (4) Computer Program Identification Number (CPIN) for upload into a AAI-ACL Flow Grind Machine located at Hill AFB. The anticipated completion of the programming by AAI-ACL is expected to be 3 months After Receipt of Order (ARO). AAI-ACL is the only source that can provide the CPIN's for their equipment. The original purchase included one CPIN, however a new configuration management directive has been developed and mandates that each Unit Under Test (UUT) must have its own CPIN. U.S. Air Force Material Command intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR part 12 and 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interest parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses should be in writing via e-mail, fax or mail prior to 14th May 2012 at 1630 hrs MST.
