The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services are seeking potential vendors under Simplified Acquisitions Procedures for transcribing publications into English and Spanish under the NAICS code 334612. The project is being set aside for small businesses. Contractor shall produce, package, and distribute an estimated 2 to 6 new/or revised digital auto tape recordings and MP3 files (either 128 or 160 KPB encoding would be acceptable) of English and Spanish language Medicare publications, in base year and each succeeding year within a possible (1-year) optional year contract. Digital audio tape recordings of Medicare publications are to be recorded at a standard speed (1 & 2/8ips) on mid priced voice –quality cassette tapes. The government reserves the right to convert to a newer technology at any time Produce audio versions of Medicare publications include the following Government furnished items: A project; a data utilization agreement form; a PDF file of a Medicare publication; narrator notes (when required); a CMS written introduction (when required); distribution lists in Excel format and/or a CD database.
