70--Software Support for Labworks Premier Assistance and Upgrade from Access to Oracle

NAICS Code: 421430 We intend to award the following project to PerkinElmer LABWORKS as they are the developer and sole distributor of Perkin Elmer LABWORKS - Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) They have no distributors or resellers due to the complex nature and they are the sole source of PerkinElmer LABWORKS software, upgrades, support and services. Statement of Work: The laboratory's current database is PerkinElmer LABWORKS. It is based on a program called MicroSoft Access. An upgrade to an Oracle database will allow better performance and improved security. LABWORKS offers the Oracle based program and can upgrade our system. This process will entail migrating the current database tables from Access to Oracle, all the current Access and Crystal reports, and all the existing instrument interfaces. All the migrated tables, reports, and interfaces are to function seamlessly with the LABWORKS program. In addition, our field tool module is to be incorporated into the Oracle program.
