66--NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

This is an amendment to the previously issued pre-solicitation announcement. The on call response time in the pre-solicitation notice was incorrectly stated as 24 hours. The on-site response time is 48 hours. The US Environmental Protection Agency, Region 8, Acquisitions Management Unit, intends to award a sole source purchase order to AB Siex LLC of Redwood City, California IAW FAR 6.302-1. The services required are for a AP15000 Mass Spectrometer (2PM) Performance Maintenance Plan with on call service provided within a 48-hour response time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Description: AP15000 Mass Spectrometer (2PM) Performance Maintenance Plan that is compatible with current EPA equipment. On-site service provided within 48 hours. The Government anticipates that AB Siex LLC is the only responsible source that can provide the AP15000 Mass Spectrometer Performance Maintenance Plan (2 PM) and provide on-site service within 48 hours. The equipment is currently located in Golden, Colorado. Delivery Date: October 2018 NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Responses to this posting must be in writing and provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
