--Intent to Award a Sole Source Purchase Order for ANSI Membership

NAICS Code: 511130 On behalf of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Prevention, Pesticides and Toxic Substances (OPPTS), Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP), the Program Contract Service Center (PCSC) plans to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order as set forth in FAR Part 13.106-1 Simplified Acquisition Procedures to The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for a Government-level Membership Fee. The membership includes a subscription to the quarterly news magazine and bi-weekly electronic newsletter, a subscription to the Standards Tracking and Automated Reporting (STAR) Service; access to and discounts on many standards collection publications; discounts on education and training services; public policy information and government affairs support; and the ability to join an annual recommendation of qualified candidates for the Institutes Board of Directors. ANSI and its programs provide access rights to information and business intelligence that is not available elsewhere. NO SOLICTATION FOR QUOTES IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROCUREMENT. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the requirements as stated herein, may submit a firm fixed price quote by 2:00 PM ET on Friday December 28, 2012 for consideration. A determination not to compete the purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
