D -- Request for Information - Best Practices in Private Industry

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency DSCA currently request best industry practices related to Information Technology Project Management. Specifically, request industry representatives identify and respond to the following questions. 1. Is emphasis placed on IT project management certification? Does industry require Project Managers to be certified and at what level? If various levels, please explain 2. How is cost, schedule and performance tracked? 3. How is cost, schedule and performance illustrated to top management 4. What mechanisms if any are in place to flag or trigger project milestons, etc. if project is off track 5. What cost schedule and performance milestones trigger management decisions. Request that industry representatives submit capability briefs to include responses to the above questions to Vanessa Glascoe, Email [email protected] and cc [email protected]. This is a Request for Information only and does not commit the Government to any future acquisitions. Information will be reviewed and used to better analyze and track current and future Government IT projects. No telephonic inquiries will be accepted.
