The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Ovid Technologies, Inc., Norwood, MA. The purchase order is for the purpose of providing access to three(3) databases which support CDC research. The databases are:CINAHL (Nursing and Allied Health), HAPI (Health & Psychosocial Instruments)PSYC-DB Loader and Ovid User Site License. Ovid owns the proprietary rights to this software and the user license. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Classification System Code is 511120. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide database access and license need to submit a written notification of interest and capability to the Contracting Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
