This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. STATEMENT OF WORK Install Retractable Wall Building 240 XHZG200801074 18 August 2008 1. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, equipment and transportation necessary to complete the work identified in the plans and specifications. All debris is to be disposed of off Base. 2. The contractor shall apply all safety procedures required by local, state and federal regulations. 3. All work to be performed 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday thru Thursday in accordance with the general conditions stated in the MATOC specifications. If alternate work schedule is desired it must be requested in writing and approved by CE and Security 48 hours prior to the desired schedule. 4. Furnish and install a Holcomb & Hoke Foldoor Model 400 single panel operable wall system in the medical classroom Building 240. 5. Panels to be 3 5/8 thick welded steel frames with tackable gypsum board faces with clean-wrapped vertical edges, clear anodized aluminum track, precision bearing panel trolleys. 6. Bottom seals to be manually activated providing a nominal 2 maximum floor clearance. 7. Top seals to be continuous contact. 8. Top and bottom trim, bottom seal carrier and expandable closure are dark bronze. Color to be selected from H&H standard vinyl fabric. 9. Panel to be 24-4 x 9-8 tall. 10. Include drilling of existing beam, and minor support required for stack area. 11. The contractor shall coordinate all work with a representative of the CE office. 12. The contractor will not be responsible for moving furniture. The movement and replacement of furniture shall be coordinated prior to beginning the work. 13. Prior to any work, the contractor shall submit three copies of literature for all products to be used. Include manufacturers installation/application instructions. Where appropriate, provide Material Safety Data Sheets. Changes/amendments will be posted to the following website http://www.okguard.org/solicitations.htm. All answers (on a non-attribution basis) will be contained in a document titled Questions and Answers located with in the aforementioned website. Terms of the solicitation and specifications remain unchanged unless the solicitation is amended in writing. If an amendment is issued, normal procedures relating to the acknowledgement and receipt of solicitation shall apply.
