DESC: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO M. I. C. Industries, Inc., to provide the following items: Refurbishment of government-owned Ultimate Building Machine-240 (UBM), upgrade and collateral equipment, on-site operations training, and on-site maintenance training, UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 13.501(a)(1). M. I. C. Industries, Inc., 11911 Freedom Drive, Reston, Virginia 20190. The dollar value of the award is expected to be under $200,000.00. The resulting award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The detailed requirements are as follows: (1) Parts and labor to refurbish the UBM-240. Refurbishment to take place at the manufacturer’s facility in Reston, Virginia. (2) Operations Training Package for up to 20 military personnel for 12 days, to take place at MCB, Camp Pendleton, CA. (3) Maintenance training package for up to 10 military personnel for 5 days, to take place at MCB, Camp Pendleton, CA. (4) Upgrade equipment which consists of 1 each of th! e table rack assembly, with top lifting assembly and the UBM-240 SS Table set assembly, which consists of all tables and legs. (5) Collateral equipment. This Notice of Intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists. No contract award will be made on the basis of any Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. This purchase will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 13.501. The anticipated award date is January 23, 2007.
