DESCRIPTION: The Government intends to award a sole-source, fixed-priced, 4-month extension under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of Information Management of the Fort Leonard Wood Network Enterprise Center (NEC-R) communication systems for Administrative Telephone Services (ATS), Switchboard Console Operations; Inside Plant; Customer Services (Telephone); and Outside Plant (Cable). The purpose of this action is to prevent a disruption of services by providing continuity of services currently being performed on the Fort Leonard Wood contract W91RUS-06-C-0042. This 4-month J&A invokes the Fort Leonard Wood contract's Option to Extend Services clause for the purpose of providing a safety net to ensure there is no disruption of services until the new competed follow-on contract is awarded. Support required includes: Administrative Telephone Services ( ATS); Switchboard Console Operations; Inside Plant; Customer Services (Telephone); Outside Plant (Cable); and drawing maintenance required by the NEC-R for these positions; technical and adminstrative coordination of inside plant (OSP) and other on-base telephone activities; develop and track all telecommunications service work orders; program and administer personal identification numbers (PINs) to control access to outside lines; verify and coordinate customer billing with telecommunication coordinators; O&M of the Voice Mail System, Automated Directory Assistance Systems (ADAS); Telephone Management System (TMS), and associated components and instruments.
