NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office (10N3\NCO) intends to award a sole source contract award to CARL ZEISS MICROSCOPY LLC, 1 Zeiss dr,Thornwwood,NY 10594-1939. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be eleven (12) month period plus Four Twelve Month Option Periods. This requirement is for service contracts a laser microscope imaging system consisting of Laser Microscope 6FTSS355-50 OEM, Laser Interface MB IV C MM042017 and Axio Imager Z1 Stand Mot. NAICS: 333314/Size Standard: 500 Services shall be performed during the VA normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Government holidays. Equipment located at VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Rd, Bronx, NY 10468-3904. CARL ZEISS MICROSCOPY LLC, is the sole provider and since the laser microscope imaging system is proprietary. CARL ZEISS MICROSCOPY LLC is the only available source for this service. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
