13--Hand Held Target Controllers for the Ft. Jackson Omaha Beach Fire and Movement Range

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Jackson, South Carolina intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price, sole source award for 4 each hand held target lifter controllers for the Fort Jackson Omaha Beach Fire and Movement Range to Meggitt Training Systems, Inc., 296 Brogdon Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for commercially available items. Only one responsible source is reasonably available due to the fact that Meggitt Training Systems has developed and patented the Meggitt RZ14 programmable system which is the only compatible system with the suggested hand held controllers. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 332995 and the size standard is 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a response. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A solicitation will not be issued. Interested firms may identify their interest in writing to the Government point of contact. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time 28 September 2010.
