D -- National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Commercial Satellite Imagery Library (CSIL) Contract Extension

On a sole source basis L3 Communications Titan Corporation will be awarded a 12-month contract extension to continue providing production operations and system support for the Commercial Satellite Imagery Library (CSIL) on a 24 hour/7 day per week basis in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) imagery storage and dissemination mission. This extension (the contract was originally issued in March 2004 and scheduled to complete December 2007), is required to support the decommissioning of the CSIL during CY2008 as NGA transitions to other imagery storage and dissemination capabilities. Only L3 Communications has the extensive technical familiarity and experience with the CSIL to provide the required critical support without interruption to CSIL operations during this transition period.
