Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC), managing contractor of the Savannah River Site (SRS) for the U.S. Department of Energy, is soliciting expressions of interest from companies wishing to obtain license rights to market and distribute the following software toolkit to commercial customers. The software application allows a chemical process simulation to be divided across multiple computers. This can be envisioned by treating the computers as separate unit operations or small groupings of unit operations. The material transfers between these unit of operation sections become data transmissions over the computer network. In this way, a chemical process can be segregated and simulated over a network of computational resources instead of being confined to a single computer. Any company interested in licensing this technology must respond with a letter of interest (may be submitted by email) no later than 30 days from the publication date of this Notice summarizing the company’s business and technical expertise and motivation for pursuing this opportunity.
