The FLCN Contracting Department Philadelphia Office seeks to procure AppDetective Pro software renewal to support the National Defense University at Fort McNair, Washington, DC on a brand name, sole source basis Application Security, Inc. or its authorized resellers. This acquisition is being processed IAW FAR Parts 13 and 12. AppDetective Pro software provides auditing and compliance capabilities for the Database Management Systems (DBMS) residing on the NDU network. AppDetective Pro is the only commercially available software capable of providing continuous monitoring of a large volume of database instances (36 ea) necessary for compliance with DISA requirements. The NDU team researched comparable software products and determined that no other commercially available software is capable of continuous monitoring of the volume of database occurrences experienced at NDU. The license renewals being purchased shall cover the period of 28 Aug 14 - 27 Aug 15. Those firms believing that they have a product capable of satisfying this requirement may submit a capability statement to the Government within 5 days of the date of when this synopsis is posted. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses shall be emailed to
