The Defense Logistics Agency Maritime Puget Sound is issuing this sources sought and request for information as a means of conducting market research to identify parties who can provide a software product, other than Access and Sharepoint, that can process documents and manage data efficiently. Software must share metadata associated with creating and routing documents. The Objective Quality Evidence (OQE), references and version controls must be superior to Sharepoint. Other local standalone data sources and documents would be incorporated into the software and the increased productivity should be considerable. The software should mitigate limited Sharepoint workflows. Linking information of Technical Work Documents and material data with improved electronic document routing together should stream line processes, increase accuracy and raise efficiency. The priority for this software is Configuration Management. The ability utilize shared meta data with improved workflows. The software will incorporate at least 14 different local (departmental) data sources that currently do not share information. Combining these sources of data will allow the department to use the enhanced analytic capabilities of the software to provide metrics and trends not currently provided. The results of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement.
