17. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Code 2.5.1.3 at Patuxent River, MD has a requirement for ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES for the Air Vehicle Department, AIR Code 4.3. The Air Vehicle Department requires engineering services to support technology development efforts for the full life cycle of ship-based air vehicles and associated systems. All sources take note of the following information: 1) This requirement is 100% set aside for small businesses, 2) The applicable SIC Code for this requirement is 8711, 3) The estimated total level of effort is 400,600 man-hours (80,120 per year) over a period of five years. The period of performance consists of one base year plus four option years with performance commencing approximately 19 June 2002, 4) This action is a follow on to contract N00421-97-C-1422, the incumbent contractor is NAVMAR Applied Sciences Corporation, 65 West Street Road, Suite B-104, Warminster, PA, 18974. It is the Government?s intent to award a single contract to the offeror who provides the best overall value to the Government, cost and non-cost factors considered.
