Medical exmainations for personnel at Marquette Biological Station working on the Sea Lamprey control program.

Marquette Biological Station (MBS) requires occupational medical services to provide screening and medical surveillance for personnel working on the Sea Lamprey control program. The period of performance will be on or about October 1, 2010 and commence on December 31, 2011. The total proposed award is $50,000. The contract award to Marquette General Hospital (MGH) on a sole source basis in accordance with 6.302-1 is appropriate as MGH is the local medical provider and will facilitate the staff of MBS to obtain medical care quickly and within the community. The next closest medical facility is over two-hundred miles away and would cause more time than necessary to obtain medical services.
