***The Healthcare Acquisition Activity-North (HCAA), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106 - 1 (b)(1), with OLYMPUS, 3500 CORPORATE PKWY, CENTER VALLEY, PA 18034-8229 for the purchase of two (2) Olympus Video Colonoscopes System. *** ***The Sole Source determination is based on Olympus being the orginal equipment manufacturer of the Video Colonoscopes System, capable in providing the system and maintaenance service in accordance with the equipment specifications. Olympus is the only authorized vendor capable in providing the required equipement and maintance.*** ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Fort Knox, KY, and is required within 4 weeks after receipt of an order.*** ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333314, and the size standard is 500 employees.*** ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by April 20, 2011.*** A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
