ARGOS Satellite-based data collection & geo-location system services to monitor Platform Transmitter Terminals (PTTs) in Alaska

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 7 (Alaska) intends to award a sole source procurement with one base year and four- one-year option periods to CLS America Inc, to provide satellite-based data collection and geo-location system dedicated to monitoring mobile Platform Transmitter Terminals (PTTs) on wildlife indigenous to Alaska. Mobile platforms carrying an ARGOS transmitter can be located and data from sensors connected to the transmitter can be collected, processed, and distributed. CLS America is the only provider of this service for ARGOS services and has proprietary rights to ARGOS satellite transmittals. ARGOS transmitters are located within the collars and transmitters USFWS has purchased from Lotek, Telonics, Microwave Telemetry, Wildlife Computers, and Sirtrack. The ARGOS system was established under an agreement between NOAA, NASA, and CNES. CLS America operates, maintains, and commercializes the system. CLS America will provide monthly active platforms for services and processed data shall be emailed to the project manager. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. Award will be made 15 days after publication of this notice.
