Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) is testing and evaluating email, voice and data requirements associated with the Army Knowledge Online (AKO) Secure Go Mobile (SGM) pilot program. To competitively assess various smart phone capabilities, PEO EIS must have access to a representative set of industry's prominent smart phone and 4G technologies, which span various Operating Systems (OS) such as Apple's iOS, Google's Android OS, Windows Mobile OS as well as the latest Fourth Generation (4G) wireless data devices. PEO EIS has expanded the pilot program to include Apple iOS devices such as the iPhone and iPad2, as well as 4G data devices. This procurement of wireless services is for the purpose of testing and evaluating hardware owned by the U.S Army: 500 Apple iPhone4 Smart phones, 100 iPad2 tablets and 100 4G DataConnect USB wireless modems. Testing will take place in CONUS and OCONUS locations to include such areas as Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, all Western European countries and Guam. The sole source procurement is to go to AT&T for AT&T wireless services for iPhone/iPad International Calls from US to foreign country, International calling within foreign countries and SMS Messaging Unlimited Domestic compatible with the hardware owned by the U.S. Army. A determination not to compete this procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
