56--Soundproofing Material

MICHAEL E. DEBAKEY VA MEDICAL CENTER HOUSTON, TEXAS Material Request for Soundproofing in Mental Health STATEMENT OF NEED 1. GENERAL 1.1. The supplier shall provide all the material specified below for soundproofing in the mental health department of the Michael E DeBakey VA Medical Center located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd. Houston TX 77030 2. SOUNDPROOFING 2.1. The soundproofing panels shall be as follows or VA approved equal. 2.1.1. The panels shall be Sound Coustic Wall System as manufactured by Sound Tech Inc. or VA approved equal meeting the requirements below. 2.1.2. The material shall be designed to reduce the sound levels by 50% 2.1.3. High density textile laminated acoustical wall covering liner panel 3/16 in thick max. 2.1.4. Panel size shall be 48" x 108" 2.1.5. Quantity required 63 Sheets 2.1.6. Part Number STK#SND48108 2.2. The glass textile covering shall be Sound Coustic as manufactured by Sound Tech or VA approved equal meeting the requirements below. 2.2.1. Pattern shall be non-woven pattern 200 2.2.2. The fabric shall be paintable with standard paint products. 2.2.3. The material shall be in rolls 39" wide x 54 yards. 2.2.4. Quantity required 6 rolls 2.2.5. Part Number STK#VPP200 2.3. The product shall meet the following safety requirements 2.3.1. Fire per ASTM E84 Flame Spread 2.3.2. Impact Resistant per ASTM C1629 when applied over 5/8" Gyp. 2.3.3. Mold Resistant per ASTM D3273 2.3.4. Washability per ASTM D4828 3. Delivery 3.1. All material shall be delivered to The Michael E DeBakey VA Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe Blvd. Houston TX 77030 3.2. Material needed upon completion of award 3.3. A&A requirements do not apply and a Security Accreditation Package is not required. . ---End---
