34--Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) Tank

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). CLIN 0001 - The VCI tank must meet the following specifications. To meet air permitting requirements, it requires a freeboard ratio equal to or greater than 0.7 (calculated as the distance from top of the solvent level to the top edge of the degreasing tank divided by the degreaser width). The length is the longest measurement of the tank and the width is the shortest, using internal measurements. Operationally, the tank also must hold less than 1,550 gallons of non-chlorinated solvent and it cannot be heated. Also, operationally in terms of items to be dipped into this tank, it must be a minimum of 72 inches long and 18 inches wide and maximum of 90 inches long and 24 inches wide. As an example, the tank could be 72 inches length internal by 18 inches width internal and immersion depth of 14 inches with free board (space from top of lid to top of solution) of 18 inches. The product must also be equipped with a lift platform with at least a 1,000 pound capacity. The tank must also be stainless steel and have spray agitation capabilities and a brush pump.
