VISN 22 Network Contracting (NCO), Long Beach California intends to enter into a sole source contract with UpToDate Inc., 95 Sawyer Road Waltman, MA 02453. There is no solicitation available at this time. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, a justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 519130. The NCO intends to procure services from Uptodate Inc. to provide VA physicians with medically graded recommendations for assistance in specialties and subspecialties as well as provide evidence based data for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
