68--Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract to H.P. Gas Products, Inc.

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Grounds - Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, Maryland, 21005 has a requirement to procure the following: 50 Pounds of Cyanogen Chloride (CK)- must have a purity of 93%, will be stabilized at 5% Terasodium pyrophosphate, must be manufactured within the United States The intended delivery date for the item(s) is June 29, 2012. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to H.P. Gas Products, Inc. This firm is the sole certified manufacturer of the toxic gas within the United States. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 325188 and the Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. All responses received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, June 15 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
