This contract is being awarded pursuant to the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition, FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Required delivery schedule: 01 Aug 2013; Required lead-time: 30 days. Closing for this award is 08:00 (EST), 19 Septmeber 2013. Tactical Real Time Operating System(RTOS) VxWorks is required for interface with Army tactical air platforms (currently Kiowa and Blackhawk). VxWorks is required to maintain exact compatibility with these existing systems; no other product can be substituted. VxWorks will be used on Aviation Mission Equipment, Reusable Radio Control Code(R2C2) Project under development. The R2C2 currently controls Army tactical radios ARC-201 and ARC-231 plus experimental variants of JTRS.
