This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(5), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5(b)(7), Sole source awards under the WOSB Program, and 15 U.S.C. 637(m), as implemented by FAR 19.1506, Women-Owned Small Business Program Sole Source Awards. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award a firm-fixed price requirements contract directly to Cheng & Tsui, Co., Inc. of Boston, Massachusetts for Japanese Levels I-IV and Advanced Placement (AP) Curriculum Materials for DoDEA Schools Worldwide. The period of performance is one 12-month base period followed by up to nine 12-month option periods. This requirement is being solicited in accordance with FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR part 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and FAR part 19.1506, Women-Owned Small Business Program Sole Source Awards. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not an RFQ. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis for the required materials.
