This combined synopsis/solicitation is for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Solicitation Number is HE1254-04-R-0011 and is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This action will be processed using simplified acquisition procedures and incorporates provision and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 2001-16. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is a federal government agency, tax exempt, an education activity and qualifies for academic/educational pricing. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: DoDEA requires textbooks for the teaching of discrete mathematics in grades 9-12 for high school students who have completed algebra I and geometry. THE FOLLOWING ITEMS SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING Proposals for this RFP must be complete, signed, dated, and due in this office at the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), Procurement Division, 4th Floor, 4040 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, Virginia 22203-1635, no later than 2:00 p.m., EST, Friday, March 5, 2004. Proposals shall be marked with the HE1254-04-R-0011 and addressed to Mr. James Church.
