Notification of the SEC's Intent to Award a Single Source Purchase Order to Dow Jones & Company Inc.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a fixed-price purchase order on a single source basis to Dow Jones & Company Inc., 1211 Avenue of the Americas, LOWR C3, New York, New York, 10036 for access to the Wall Street Journal in print and electronic form. The NAICS code is 511110. The contracting officer has determined that Dow Jones & Company Inc. is the only source that can reasonably meet the SEC's requirement in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b). Dow Jones & Company Inc. is the publisher of the Wall Street Journal. The information provided by the Wall Street Journal is unique to the publisher. Dow Jones & Company Inc. is the only provider that allows the SEC to receive delivery of the Wall Street Journal at all of the SEC regional offices without using different local carriers. The period of performance for the purchase order is anticipated to be one year with four one year option periods and the total value of the order shall be below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The SEC intends to award a purchase order to Dow Jones & Company Inc. on or about February 23, 2018. This notice is not a competitive request for proposals. A competitive solicitation will not be issued. However, the government will give consideration to interested parties that identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals by the response date of this notice.
