Notification of the SEC’s intent to award a sole source contract to West Publishing Corporation

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a fixed-price contract on a sole source basis to West Publishing Corporation for print legal publications using the procedures of FAR Part 13.501(a). The publications include federal and state legal information, statutes and administrative rules and regulations, handbooks, reporters, treatises and loose-leaf update services. The Contracting Officer has reviewed the requirement and determined that West Publishing Corporation is the only source that can meet the SEC's requirement because the required publications are under copyright and not available from other sources. The anticipated period of performance of the contract is October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016. This notice is not a competitive request for proposals. A competitive solicitation will not be issued. However, the solicitation will be made available to any interested parties that send a written request by email to Jeremy Garrett at [email protected] by the response date.
