Original Synopsis: Added: May 25, 2010 1:52 am This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for the US Army Contracting Command; South West Asia-Kuwait. Solicitation W912D1-10-R-0006 serves as notification to Industry of the establishment of a requirements contract for tents and tent maintenance. The Contractor shall provide all the necessary labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals to support a requirements contract in the Kuwait Area of Operations. The contractor shall provide a variety of tents as well as related items and equipment. The requirement may also include the contractor to provide ongoing and emergency tent maintenance services. The contractor shall have experience on relevant projects of similar size and scope of this requirement, which will be identified in the solicitation. The contractor shall have the ability to produce and install numerous tents and related items and equipment within a short period of performance (generally less than 30 days). Most common tent sizes will be 6m x 15 m, 9m x 12m, 9m x 30m, 17m x 30m, 17m x 45m and 23m x 60m. The contractor shall fulfill all Kuwait business sponsorships, licenses, arrangements, and related tasks to conduct business in Kuwait. The Contractor shall obtain appropriate local Kuwait sponsorship for all personnel assigned to the contract for the purpose of providing in-country legal representation, work visas, and resolution of other personal business or domestic matters, in compliance with Kuwaiti labor laws. The Contractor shall comply with ASG-KU camp access policies and regulations. Policies and regulations will be made available on Safe Access File Exchange (SAFE) at the time of solicitation. Prospective offerors shall watch for the solicitation to be posted on or about 24 June 2010. Proposals will be due approximately 30 calendar days after solicitation issuance date. The solicitation will set forth the requirement, terms and conditions, and date of when the proposals and submittals will be due. It is contemplated that the Government will award a single contract resulting from the solicitation, to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Significant evaluation factors and their relative importance will be identified in the solicitation. The period of performance for the contract is anticipated to be three years (base plus two option years).
