THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR ALUMINA INSULATORS. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions. See questions/answers below. Amendment 2 Questions/Answers 1). From this solicitation and the amendment, Item 5 "Safe #2 Al203 96 Drawing SK05052004" is actually shown on the drawing as (1) End Cap. Answer "Safe #2" should be the end cap marked "(2) End cap". 2). Please clarify that the parts labeled (4) spacer and (5) spacer are not being quoted in this offer. Answer That is correct. (4) and (5) are not part of the quote (not asking vendor to make...just happen to be on the same drawing). The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on 8/2/04.
