D--Intent to Award Synopsis - Sole Source Cable and Internet Services for Carl R. Darnell Army Medical Center, in Fort Hood, TX

TITLE: Purchase of Cable and Internet Services Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Fort Hood, TX intends to award a firm fixed price sole source purchase order to Time Warner Entertainment-Advance/Newhouse, 215 Factory Drive, Waco, TX 76710-6959 a Large Business, for the purchase of Cable and Internet Services for Carl R. Darnell Army Medical Center (CRDAMC) Facilities at 41 Different Sites with 85 Outlets (see attached) for 1 year from October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014 in Fort Hood, Texas. The Government intends to enter into a firm fixed price requirements with Time Warner Entertainment-Advance/Newhouse. This acquisition is conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) Soliciting from a Single Source. The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available due to proprietary ownership of requested items and no other sources will be able to accurately satisfy agency requirements. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 517110 - Wired Telecommunications Carriers with a size standard of 1,500 employees.
