Notification of the SEC’s intent to award a single source purchase order for access to Law360

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a fixed-price purchase order on a single source basis to Portfolio Media for access to Law360. The Contracting Officer has determined that Portfolio Media is the only source that can reasonably meet the SEC's requirement in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b). The SEC requires access to a variety of news sources in order to keep up -to-date with industry developments. Law360 is a relevant and reliable source for keeping current with legal aspects of business, and contains views and analysis of the publisher's staff that are unique. Portfolio Media is uniquely able to fill the requirement because the content is copyrighted by Portfolio Media and a site license is not available from any other source. The period of performance for the purchase order is anticipated to be one year with the total value of the order being below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The SEC intends to award a purchase order to Portfolio Media on or about 3 June 2015. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. No solicitation or additional information will be made available with regard to this sole source notice. Interested organizations may submit their capability statements and qualifications for the provision of this requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements.
