J--intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Becton Dickinson and Company

The U. S. Army Contracting Command, Tenant Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Becton Dickinson and Company (BD), 2350 Qume Drive, San Jose, CA 95131-1812. The contractor shall provide Subject Matter Expert support to the Toxicology Portfolio of the Public Health Command. BD is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and holds proprietary skills and knowledge of the FacsVerse Flow Cytometer system. The FacsVerse Flow Cytometer system is the only source of cell sorting and counting information in support of these studies, and its correct operation is essential to provide time-sensitive data in support of studies costing tens of thousands of dollars each. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811219 and the size standard is $20.5 million.
