The United States Postal Service seeks to pre-qualify Energy Service Providers (ESP) to provide a direct supply of electricity generation to Postal Service accounts located in the states of MA, ME, OH, MD, NY, PA & DC. The scope of this requirement includes providing approximately 800,000,00 kWh of generation to approximately 4300 electric accounts serviced by multiple Investor Owned Utilities is the above 6 states and the District of Columbia. Energy Service Providers interested in this requirement must first be pre-qualified by the Postal Service. This pre-qualification includes submission of a written statement of qualifications as outlined in the referenced solicitation. It is the intent of the Postal Service to pre-qualify suppliers for a contract period 12 or 24 months effective July 1, 2005 with 3 or 4 1-year unpriced options. Suppliers pre-qualified through this process will then be eligible to participate in a reverse auction to be conducted by EnergyWindows.
