The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, intends to modify the existing contract for a Digital Detector to add a new, thicker scintillator on a sole source basis to Hytec Sensors & Imaging Group, Inc., 110 Eastgate Drive, Los Alamos, NM 87544, because of their proprietary rights to the Flash-CT software needed to process the detector’s larger imaging area. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, operates a digital-based x-ray system to perform non-destructive evaluation (NDE) on ordnance items. A larger, high-energy-capable digital detector of 40 by 30 cm is needed to improve system performance, and requires integration into the existing digital-based FCT-200 X-ray System. The new, thicker scintillator will improve the signal-to-noise ratio and allow for higher resolution images to be captured. Respondents, other than the above, should submit, at a minimum, their qualifications and any other information considered pertinent to t! he requirement to the Contract Specialist within 5 days after publication of synopsis. The POC for this requirement is Erin Strand, Contract Specialist, at (760) 939-7309 by phone, (760) 939-8186 by fax, or
