Request more details about the vessels and equipment. Is the new equipment replacing existing equipment. If so, what radar is in place now? Is a transducer in place or is the Transducer being replaced? RESPONSE: The sounding units on both vessels are Furuno Model FCV-522. The transducers are in place in the hull and the new sounding units furnished should be compatible with the existing transducers required by the FCV-522. The vendor should also furnish new transducers for the new sounding units provided. The M/V Fred Lee currently uses a Raytheon R81X. The M/V Key Woods currently uses a Raytheon radar but model number not found. The vendor shall provide all new equipment related to the function of the radar, sounder, and weather station systems.
