Description
The project includes construction of one (1) security screening station at the 4th floor elevator lobby. Scope of work consists of but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, material and equipment necessary for fabricating and installing bullet resistant millwork panels, platforms, desk surfaces, bullet resistant glass panels and coordinating with existing electrical power outlets. Most work will be conducted during normal government business hours and will coordinate with ongoing government requirements for security screening during those hours. The work will be performed at the U.S. Post Office, U.S. Courthouse, 515 W. First Street, Duluth, MN for Request for Proposal (RFP) Number GS05P04GAC0001. The anticipated contract start date is February 2004. The contract completion period is one hundred twenty (120) calendar days. Liquidated damages are forty ($40) dollars per calendar day. This procurement is a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238990 with a size standard of $12 million. The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is a negotiated best value procurement. Specification will be posted on or about October 27, 2003. Proposals are due to the office of the Contracting Office on November 26, 2003, 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. A lump sum Base Offer and a lump sum Alternate No. 1 offer for the base is required. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS). FedTeDS is a secure website designed to safeguard Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. It is fully integrated with other electronic government initiatives such as FedBizOpps and the Central Contract Registration (CCR) database, and is available for use by all Federal agencies. In order to obtain information from FedTeDS, you will first be required to register with CCR. The CCR database is a part of the Business Partner Network, an e-gov initiative, and will then be used to validate vendor identity.
