70 -- Time Positiion Interface for the AN/UPX-24(V) Mode 5 Interrogator Set and Transformer Coupled Input, Quantity of 16 of each

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Contracts Division, Code 2.5.1.2, Webster Field St Inigoes, Maryland intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order with Brandywine Communications, 1153 Warner Avenue, Tustin, CA 92780-6458 to supply Time Position Interface (TPI) for the AN/UPX-24 (V) Mode 5 Interrogator Set, Quantity of 16 Each; and Transformer Coupled Input, Quantity of 16 Each. The acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other service or supply will satisfy the agency requirements. Brandywine Communications is the only manufacturer known to manufacturer the required TPI peripheral computer interface (PCI) Mezzanine Card (PMC) that meets the internally developed signal routing Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Mode 5 design requirements. These TPI Cards and Transformer Coupled Inputs must be form, fit, and functional replacement for previously fielded equipment used by the AN/UPX-24 (V) Mode 5 Interrogator Set system. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they identify their interest and capability. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Contracts shall consider all responses. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. NOTE: Contractors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR), www.ccr.gov database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed contract, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
