The Department of the Army, Healthcare Acquisition Activity- North intends to negotiate a Sole Source commercial item procurement with Innovation Associates for procurement of PharmAssist Workstation. This proposed procurement is for supplies for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than September 18, 2012, 4:00p.m. EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. [email protected] The following verbiage is directly from the Justification and Approval for sole source: This is a Sole Source Justification for a PharmAssist Workstation for the main pharmacy on Travis Air Force Base. In order to maintain continuity and consistency in the Main Pharmacy, it is imperative to match the pre-existing equipment with Innovation Associates. Innovation Associates is the standard use pharmacy dispensing equipment in USAF pharmacies. The main pharmacy presently has an Innovation's PharmAssist operating system, which includes a server, multiple workstations, and several calibrated auto fill cabinets.
