FARO Arm Proprietary Maintenance, Calibration, and Repair Services

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT 1. Requirement: The Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to FARO Technologies, Inc. (CAGE: 0VGY2) for OEM-certified maintenance, calibration, and repair services for 26 FARO measurement instruments. 2. Authority: This action is conducted under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) as implemented by RFO FAR 6.103-1. The acquisition uses RFO FAR Part 12 commercial services procedures. 3. Rationale: FARO Technologies, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and sole owner of the proprietary technical data and firmware required for factory-level calibration. No other source is authorized to perform these services without voiding existing warranties. 4. Response Instructions: This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). Interested parties must submit a written capability statement within fifteen (15) calendar days of this notice. Statements must demonstrate OEM-authorized status and access to proprietary data. 5.
