Rework/Recalibration of Emhiser ERD series Single Frequency 437.0 Mhz Command Receiver/Decoder. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.603 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request For Quotes (RFQ). The General Services Administration, Federal Technology Service, Region 9, Hawaii Area Office, intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed-price commercial contract to Emhiser Research Inc., 2705 Old Highway 40West, Verdi, NV 89439. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. Companies who can provide the above listed services must indicate their interest in writing no later than September 13, 2004. Estimated date of award is September 14, 2004. All responsible sources will be considered for evaluating the determination to issue a sole source contract. The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 01-24. The resultant contract will be 100% set aside for small business.
