This Announcement Modification amends the Solicitation Due Date to June 30, 2009 to match the actual solicitation. The US Fish and Wildlife Service Region 1/8 Office is seeking qualified contractors to provide labor and equipment to conduct imazapyr herbicide application for control of invasive cordgrass in Refuge tidal marshes on the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge (Refuge) during the summer work season, June 1 to September 15. Populations of cordgrass within the Refuge are located in scattered infestations within the full range of habitat types including mudflat clones, the banks of large creeks and sloughs, sinuous marsh channels, and the low to mid-elevation marsh plain throughout 3,500 acres of marshlands in the South San Francisco Bay. It is expected that the Contractor will be required to utilize all of the following herbicide application equipment/vehicles: airboats, trucks, ATV's or aquatic-tracked vehicles, and backpack sprayers. Equipment must be appropriately configured for proper application of imazapyr herbicide in aquatic habitats. This is a Performance Based Service Acquisition, Total Small Business Set-Aside under FAR Part 19. NAICS is 115310, Size Standard $7 million. Work under this contract will be performed in Alameda County, Service Contract Act wages apply. A fixed-price award for one year with one option year will be made based on Technical Capability, Past Performance and Price.
