Special Notice - Subcontracting Opportunities for the Ashley U.S. Courthouse Modernization and New Annex, in Toledo, OH. On October 26, 2020, GSA awarded the Design-Build (DB) contract for the modernization and rehabilitation of the existing historic James M. Ashley & Thomas W.L. Ashley U.S. Courthouse and new construction of an Annex in Toledo, OH, to The Whiting Turner Contracting Company. The project includes design-build services, construction and site development for the new Courthouse Annex. The existing Ashley U.S. Courthouse has 91,766 gross square feet via four occupied floors and a basement. The Annex will add roughly 95,000 gross square feet to the facility. The Annex is intended to satisfy the programmatic needs of the U.S. District Court, including secure circulation needs. The tenant agencies for the project include the U.S. District Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Probation, Pretrial, U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Trustee, U.S. Attorney and GSA.
