CA -247 Cameras

The Naval Research Laboratory intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis with Recon Optical Inc. for the procurement of seven (7) copies of a CA-247 dual-band wide-area persistent surveillance camera system and integration support The sensor unobscurred field of regard shall be +/- 90 degrees, centered around nadir, along the roll axis and +/- 56 degrees along the azimuth axis. The azimuth axis center is defined along the center of rotation of the gimbal perpendicular to the roll axis. The delivery schedule is to begin with the first camera to be delivered in May 2009 followed by monthly deliveries of one (1) camera per month. This is not a solicitation but a notice of intent to negotiate with, Recon Optical Inc. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
